FEES & INSURANCE: Our hourly fees are $125 for student interns, $175 for therapists, $225 for specialty certified therapists, and $425 for Dr. Elizabeth Polinsky. A regular weekly appointment is required. While we don’t take insurance, we can provide you with a superbill for out-of-network insurance reimbursement. Hi, I’m Susan. I’m a Licensed Professional Counselor here in Virginia. I believe everyone deserves close and caring relationships. That’s why I work with individuals and couples who want to feel more connected. Many of the people I meet are coping with grief or parenting struggles, and I’m here to support them.

I have many years of experience as a counselor. I use simple, proven methods that fit each person’s needs. With these tools, you can heal old hurts. You can feel more calm in daily life. You can also build closer connections with the people who matter most. Some tools help you understand yourself better. Others ease the pain of hard memories. And some focus on helping couples feel close again.

My goal is to be present with you and walk alongside you in the healing process. Many of my clients leave therapy with a deeper sense of their needs and feelings. This makes it easier for them to connect with others in a safe and caring way.
